We are the largest vertically-integrated producer and supplier of electricity in Poland and one of the largest producers of useful heat.
We operate across the entire value chain: we generate electricity and heat in our power plants and CHP plants, then we sell these to our clients throughout Poland, to households, businesses and institutions.

70% of our energy comes from lignite. We mine lignite at our own mines, which are located next to our plants. This is why we are able to generate the cheapest electricity under the conditions in Poland.
PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. is the parent company of PGE Group.
Our Group is currently organised in the following four key segments:
- Conventional energy – responsible for lignite exploration and production as well as the generation of electricity and heat at conventional power plants and CHP plants, alongside ancillary activities
- Renewables – focuses on generating electricity from renewable sources and pumped-storage plants
- Distribution – responsible for managing local distribution networks and transmitting electricity
- Supply – sale of electricity and services to end customers as well as sale and purchase of electricity and gas on wholesale markets, trade in CO2 allowances and property rights deriving from certificates of energy origin, together with purchases and supplies of fuels
